JOHN GALLIANO – Old Hollywood, bubbles and a laser show
Drama queen John Galliano presented his collection Spring/Summer 2010 in Paris and broadcasted it live on the internet. He dedicated this season to the Hollywood-Style of the 1950’s. A collection of dramatic, bohemian dresses characterized by layers of chiffon and lace. Milliner Stephen Jones’ hat creations were absolutely sublime and made the perfect additions to Galliano’s creations. The catwalk was a big laser-show with smoke-filled bubbles floating through the room. A spectacular conclusion of Paris Fashion Week. Very glorious, very glamorous, very Galliano!

ELIE SAAB – A new interpretation of elegance
A sort of sophisticated rock energy could be felt at Elie Saab’s Spring Summer 2010 fashion show in Paris. The models were walking on black sparkling sand, wearing graphic silhouettes and structured cuts, often in combination with shimmering, metallic accessories.
The colour range reflects a desert sky evolving itself from dusk to midnight. From sandy beige to sunset red, from azure to midnight black. A high-waisted silhouette, accentuated epaulettes aswell as cut-outs and embroidered backparts are key themes in Saab’s reinvention of a contemporary muse.
