Anne Raybaud, Fashion Editor of Grazia Magazine France

Hi Anne, nice to meet you. You are the new fashion editor of Grazia Magazine. Can you tell us a bit more about Grazia and about your position.

I am the fashion director of Grazia Magazine, a new weekly fashion magazine launched on the french market since September 2009. We propose a fresh and energetic style, a bit like the well known british edition of Grazia.

It’s obvious that you are a fashion editor, because your are dressed according to the latest trends. What do you think about the upcoming new trends for next season?

Our main goal is to show our readers, that fashion is on the streets, and that they are essential elements fort he creation of new trends. Fashion is not anymore a synonym of powerful and influential designer brands. Nowadays fashion is created by reality and not by a fictious world, consisting of a total look of Prada or Gucci. When you look around here, you see authentic styles, representing Grazia’s target. We are trying to propose a mixture of various styles and fashions: Designer brands mixed with vintage pieces – in order to express complete fashion liberty. Today a woman is able to discover herself and to express herself every day in a completely new way, all through her personal interpretation of style, which can be a 1000€ leatherbag or a customized plain white shirt from last season’s sales. Just feel free!

Can you explain us the difference between Grazia and the classic fashion magazines like Elle and Madame. It’s very interesting because already regarding the price, there is a huge difference. Grazia has now a launching price of 1€, later on it will be available for 2€ or just a bit more.

Yes exactly, I think here our main message is to break the rules. Grazia wants to be different. We want to express the liberty of being ourselves, everyday in a different way. Grazia will be able to write about something in one issue and to talk about the complete opposite the week after. This is life, there are no rules because people change their minds and opinions continiously. Important is to feel comfortable with yourself.

I have one last question about fashion, since KOFASHION is mostly working for online supports. So what do you think about the developpment of fashion online and about the fact that more and more online stores are launching?

I think it’s an amazing way for modern women to access to a new and various world of possibilities. You can find everything in the web. Sometimes it is even cheaper than going to the real shop and of course it is easier and less time-consuming. Today we are also launching www.grazia.fr, the magazine’s website. It will be updated every day and there will be a lot of promotions and votings because our main focus is based on the website’s interactivity, since our readers’ opinions are of essential importance for us.
